A great book!Moonlit Eyes by Emma Blair is great book. It is only book set in this era (WW2) that deals the racial differences in England. The book has a nice pace and is able to hold the readers interest. A great book for a fan of Ms. Blair or of the time period.

Nellie Wildchild
Published in Mass Market Paperback by (September, 1989)
Average review score:

Nellie WildchildThis was the first EMMA BLAIR book I'd read, I couldn't put it down. I have read 6 more of her novels since this one.
She writes in the style of Catherine Cookson with more gutsy details.
At first you'll laugh being out with Nellie Thompson and her friend Babs at Saturday night dances.
Nellie falls for Frank, but he's a Catholic. Her father is furious; they want her to marry Jim.
After Frank is forced to leave town Nellie relents and marries Jim, what a mistake she's made!

Average review score:

A fine study of the spiritual needs of Gen X.Dr. Zustiak does an excellent job in examining the sociological traits of the Gen X crowd. The book is written from the perspective of reaching the needs of Gen X with the Christian message and world view. However, one need not be a Christian to appreciate the information shared on the social and personal needs of Gen X. A fine study.

One More River to Cross (Standing on the Promises Ser. 1)
Published in Hardcover by Deseret Books (September, 2000)
Average review score:

Not Just Promises--But a Real Delivery!!Anthony and Joan both could not put this book down! Anthony read it first, then read parts of it to Joan, then Joan read it. In the spirit of The Work and the Glory series by Lund, Standing on the Promises, combines factual history and characters with an outstanding story. The characters really come alive and the reader can truly imagine themselves right in the story and experiencing the events portrayed. The actual events and research are documented after each chapter and provide a wonderful historical review of the evidence. After, becoming acquainted with Elijah, Jane and Isaac in other publications, being able to read their stories was truly inspiritational. We are eagerly awaiting the next book in this series!

The Papers of Will Rogers: The Early Years: November 1879-April 1904 (Set)
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Oklahoma Pr (Txt) (February, 1996)
Average review score:

Beyond the hype of Will RogersI've read many books on Will Rogers-I find him fascinating on several levels. My initial interest was in his skill as a roper-I continue to be amazed at his talent in catches and especially trick roping. See his 1922 film "The Roping Fool" for an incredible display of his abilities. But Roger's role as a social commentator overshadowed his vaudeville career. Some have called him the first media pundit. This volume documents in great detail Rogers early years, and in a most satisfying way puts him in context. Letters, newspaper clippings, and other documents trace the experiences that led him into show business, and extensive footnotes lay out the social, economic and political world in which he lived. I can't wait for volume two!

Peacemaker BountyIf you have yet to read any of these books, you should hesitate no further. This is an absolute great series of books by Mr. Blair. Jim and Prudence will stick in your heart and will make you remember how it first felt to be in love. They are great. The action is wonderful, the banter if fun! This is a two thumbs up book!!
Anne Coddington and Mark Perryman have gathered together a group of very bright intellects to discuss the future of radical politics and the results are fascinating indeed.
